About Our Company

A Commitment to the best Customer Experience in the Business

Our business is family-owned and operated, led by a husband-and-wife team. When I'm not at home with our kids, I work alongside my father on the road, supported by our dedicated team of nine employees. I've been in the industry my whole life and founded Luke's Local Freight almost eight years ago. Customer service is our priority. We are known throughout the industry for our "no distance too far, nothing too hard" attitude, always going above and beyond for every customer, no matter the circumstances.

We started with just one truck and a loan from my late grandfather, and have since grown to a fleet of six trucks, covering 600km of coastline daily. We also offer a weekly, time-restricted run to Newcastle, heading down empty and returning full, providing plenty of room for backloads.

Having worked in the industry for many years, I've witnessed how carelessly some companies treat their customers and their belongings. I vowed to be different. My goal is for every customer to be so satisfied with our service that they recommend us to others—whether it's John telling his mates at work about our politeness and effort or Betty at bingo praising our respectful team for helping move her old fridge to the curb. I believe this level of service is the key to repeat business.
