Terms and Conditions

Terms and conditions that you agree to when accepting a quote or buying a service from lukes local freight. We will sell services such as freight deliveries, removals and second hand appliances.

Removalist

We as removalist will do our best to not damage your house or products, in some cases this may happen and if it happens and you were not notified it could happen before hand we will pay for it. If we tell you something won’t fit in a doorway, stair we’ll or a hallway and you demand we do it you are removing any blame lukes local freight will take and making your own decision to take the risk of damage.


We will take care in packing your belongings in our trucks and moving them for you on the occasion you pack a box with valuables and don’t mark it as fragile if it gets put in the load and gets broken during transit Luke's Local Freight does not take blame for this but will help the best we can to rectify the situation.


We will jot put up with abuse and we will leave if we cope abuse.


Payment of minimum 3 hrs is to be made to secure the booking and remaining to be made as we remove the last items from the truck. All payments made by direct debit will have gst added to them.

Freight

All freight we cart will be secured to the best of out ability and to NHVR standards.


We will not pay for loads we pick up that look to be damaged or questionable. We will pay for damages if we break them while in our care. Photos of freight will be taken upon pick up and delivery and in most cases a POD provided we will not enter dangerous sites or abusive and offensive properties


Some long distance freight may be asked to be paid upfront as security for us that if we arrive we have the job. if freight is not paid for a we will held freight and place a legal freight bond on it till all money is paid including court costs.


We reserve the right to refuse any load for any reason.

Payment

Lukes Local Freight will require payment in most cases upon delivery or before pick up we accept cash and direct debit we currently have paypal and we are looking into EFT and afterpay for our customers. We will give some customers accounts that will need to be paid in 7 days otherwise they will be cancelled and cod will be required after that.



*there may be a 2% surcharge applied to all card and afterpay transactions.


If you are booking a removals job we will require our 3 hr minimum to be paid as a booking fee to secure your job


By using our services you agree that we expect all payments to be paid in full when asked to pay if we need to go to court to get payment, you will be paying our court costs. If you dont agree with this you can cancel your service with us.

Second Hand Appliances

Anything brought through our shop will have 2 weeks warranty and we will refund upon item being returned.


All items are brought as is with any damage as discussed. All items can be picked up or delivered at a extra cost.

Cancellation

We understand that circumstances change and things happen thats why if you need to cancel that is fine and we will refund you any money paid to us with in 24HRS.


If you cancel with in 3 days of the removals job or delivery we will refund your money minus our 15% cancellation fee on all money paid as it wastes our time and has held up a truck that could have been getting used for other jobs.
